Cascade Highlands Neighborhood In Everett WA

Cascade Highlands is a residential neighborhood in the highly desirable Silver Lake area of southeast Everett. Silver Lake neighbors Mill Creek to the south and the city of Snohomish to the east. The Silver Lake Area is desirable for its proximity to stores, ease of commute to Boeing, small community lake, and quick access into the Alderwood area, as well as its almost instant access to I-5 offering easy commutes and traveling into larger neighboring cities of Everett that include Seattle, Woodinville, Bellevue, and more. 

Cascade Highlands is tucked into an area of Silver Lake that feels like you have found a secret forest, there are lush trees everywhere and peak-a-boo views of the Cascade Mountains. The neighborhood is quiet and streets are easily enjoyed by young families. Homes are nicely sized and well-kept in a nicely groomed neighborhood. 

Things to Do Near Cascade Highlands

Silver Lake

Silver Lake is a quiet small lake in south Everett for which the Silver Lake neighborhood is named. This lake is popular for floating, paddleboarding, fishing, swimming, and kayaking. On the shores of Silver Lake are the popular Emory's restaurant, and the Silver Lake Public Park which offers a play structure, picnic area, swimming area, and public beach. 

Alderwood Mall

Alderwood Mall is a shopping hotspot destination in Snohomish County. This mall has both an indoor and outdoor shopping area. It is home to one of the most popular Nordstrom Department Stores in Western Washington.  There is a large AMC Movie Theater, and several great restaurants including Anthony's Seafood Grill, Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang's, and many national retailers. 

City of Mill Creek 

Mill Creek is a small town on the south side of Everett. This charming town is home to upscale shopping areas, great parks, medical offices, and more. One of the most popular areas of Mill Creek is the Mill Creek Town Center with several great restaurants, local boutique shops, larger retail shops, and a Town and Country grocery store. 

City of Snohomish

Just a few minutes to Seattle Hill Road and you are able to access the city of Snohomish through the "backside" of Everett and through the valley and farmlands of west Snohomish. In the fall this is the most popular spot to enjoy a farmland pumlin picking experience. The newly developed golf driving range is also a big hit and some say the restaurant there serves the best french fries in the county. Further into downtown Snohomish, you will find one of the most charming historic downtown areas that hold several local boutique stores, one owned by famous house-flipping sisters and realtors from HGTV's Unsellable Houses, named Lamb and Co. 

The Mukilteo Waterfront

Mukilteo has an iconic beach park and waterfront area with a historic lighthouse and many great local restaurants including the popular Ivar's at Mukilteo Landing and the Diamond Knot Brewery and Alehouse a beloved local pub that serves up some of the best pizza you have ever tasted with fresh ingredients and then there are all of the locally brewed libations to enjoy as well. This is also the place to hop on a ferry boat and take one of the shortest ferry boat rides across Puget Sound to Whidbey Island. Or just enjoy a day on the beach at Lighthouse Park with plenty of space to enjoy the waterfront, launch a boat, or take the grandkids to play on the fun play structure. 

Homes in Cascade Highlands

The homes of Cascade Highlands are fairly new for this area. Many of the homes in neighboring communities were built about 20 years prior to these homes. Homes in Cascade Highlands were constructed in the late 90s. Floorplans offer a spacious 2,300 square feet to over 2,600 square feet. Some features you can expect to find in these homes include three-car garages, large kitchens, open main living spaces, and generously sized owner's suites. Many of the homes in this neighborhood have been well taken care of as have the yards. There is pride of ownership in this desirable area of Silver Lake in Everett.
