The Forest Park Neighborhood in Everett WA

Forest Park or South Forest Park as some may call it is one of the largest neighborhoods of the city of Everett. As the name implies it is anchored by the actual Forest Park one of Everett's largest public parks. The area is a mixture of both multifamily and single-family properties with a majority of single-family homes located in some of the most ideal smaller neighborhood enclaves including The Preserve, Woodlawn Gardens, and Pigeon Creek. The boundaries for Forest Park lie within 44th St. and Mukilteo Boulevard on the north, Evergreen Way to the east, Pecks Drive and Fleming on the south and Pigeon Creek number one development on the west.

This is one of the most beautiful areas of Everett heavily wooded and in some areas easily walkable. There's an active neighborhood association that gets together with neighboring areas like View Ridge to hold community events. Living in the forest park area of Everett is like escaping into an almost fairytale woodland but being in the closest proximity to some of Everett's hotspots.

The Actual Forest Park

Forest Park is the largest and possibly oldest park in the city of Everett and of course the anchor of the neighborhood and the reason for the neighborhood name. The actual location of the park is 802 East Mukilteo Blvd. Coming from I-5 on 41st St. the road turns into Mukilteo Boulevard as you head west toward the water/ shoreline. You will see the entrance to Forest Park on your left side.

Forest Park has long been a favorite public park hot spot of Everett residents and even many people in Snohomish County. Forest Park has seen some changes in the last year's it currently offers a large and popular water playground/splash pad, several picnic areas, a large playground, open grass area, sports courts, rentable meeting halls, tennis courts, walking trail access, and more.

Howarth Park

Traveling past Forest Park on Mukilteo Boulevard further toward the water you will find Howarth Park just before the road takes a sharp turn to the left. Howarth Park is one of the most beautiful public parks in Everett with two different levels. The first area you drive up to is on the hillside overlooking the water. There is a second area to the park can be eaccesds either by trails at the top portion of the park or by driving further down the road. You will cross over a fun bridge high up in the air that safely gets you across the railroad tracks, you may even experience a train traveling underneath you. Once you are on the other side of the bridge you will descend the spiral staircase to the rocky beach below. The upper portion is grassy and features picnic areas overlooking the water and playground equipment.

"Back" Road to Mukilteo Waterfront

Mukilteo Boulevard just as the name implies will take you right into the town of Mukilteo and give you easy access to the Mukilteo waterfront area. Here you will find the Lighthouse Beach Park as well as many beloved restaurants and the ferry terminal for the Whidbey Island ferry run. One of the most iconic restaurants on the Mukilteo waterfront is the Ivers at Mukilteo Landing. Mukilteo Boulevard is sort of a back route into the waterfront area of Mukilteo and takes you along the shoreline it is a beautiful and fun drive.
