The Harbor View  Neighborhood of Everett WA

Harbor View is a residential neighborhood of Everett offering a handful of homes on a small collection of three streets at the back of the Olympic Boulevard "circle" just off of Mukilteo Boulevard. This is one of the most beautiful tucked-away portions of Everett with some of the most stunning water views and a quieter atmosphere than other areas of the city along the shoreline. At the foot of one of Everett's best beachfront parks still close to great city amenities and within 10 minutes of direct I-5 access, this is one of Everett's best neighborhoods.

Hotspots Close to Harborview

Howarth Park

Howarth Park is on the end of Olympic Drive closest to the water and visible from Mukilteo Boulevard. The main portion of the park is on the cliffs overlooking the water and beach portion of the park. Howarth Park is one of the most beautiful public parks in Everett with two different levels. The beach area to the park can be accessed either by trails at the top portion of the park or by driving further down Olympic toward Harbor View. You will cross over a fun bridge high up in the air that safely gets you across the railroad tracks, you may even experience a train traveling underneath you. Once you are on the other side of the bridge you will descend the spiral staircase to the rocky beach below. The upper portion is grassy and features picnic areas overlooking the water and playground equipment.

There are a few viewpoints along the trails and additional parking areas in the park. One of the viewpoints is just within the boundaries of the Harbor View neighborhood.

Forest Park

Forest Park is the largest and possibly oldest park in the city of Everett. The location of the park is 802 East Mukilteo Blvd. Coming from I-5 on 41st St. the road turns into Mukilteo Boulevard as you head west toward the water/ shoreline and to Harbor View. You will see the entrance to Forest Park on your left side. The park is almost a halfway point between the neighborhood and Evergreen Way.

Forest Park has long been a favorite public park hot spot of Everett residents and even many people in Snohomish County. Forest Park has seen some changes in the last few years. It currently offers a large and popular water playground/splash pad, several picnic areas, a large playground, an open grass area, sports courts, rentable meeting halls, tennis courts, walking trail access, and more.

"Back" Road to Mukilteo Waterfront

Mukilteo Boulevard just as the name implies will take you right into the town of Mukilteo and give you easy access to the Mukilteo waterfront area. Here you will find the Lighthouse Beach Park as well as many beloved restaurants and the ferry terminal for the Whidbey Island ferry run. One of the most iconic restaurants on the Mukilteo waterfront is the Ivers at Mukilteo Landing. Mukilteo Boulevard is sort of a back route into the waterfront area of Mukilteo and takes you along the shoreline it is a beautiful and fun drive. You can get from Harbor View to Mukilteo in around 15 to 20 minutes.

Evergreen Way Shopping and Restaurants

Evergreen Way is one of the main thoroughfares in Everett. It is a place of many retail stores, services, and restaurants. Along Evergreen Way, you will find grocery shopping in smaller stores or large one-stop-shops like Fred Meyer which is just about 7 to the south, fast food restaurants, and local favorite restaurants like the Totem Inn which has been an Everett landmark (everyone who grew up in Everett loves this place). Forest Park is only 2 minutes from the Totem. Other great restaurants on Evergreen include beloved local Memos Mexican Restaurant, and Lanna Thai is a favorite for Thai food.

Harbor View is an eclectic collection of some of Everetts's most stunning and unique private single-family homes. From impressive mid-century modern brick homes from the 1950s with quality details you rarely find to large custom mansions built in the 1990s. The number of homes in Harbor View is small, but each home features its own appeal, and many offer views of the water, islands, and Olympic peninsula.
