Everett is the county seat and largest city in Snohomish County. With a population of over 103,000 people, Everett is one of the top five largest cities in the Puget Sound region. It’s located on Possession Sound, which connects Port Susan to Puget Sound, and is approximately 25 miles from Seattle.

Many don’t know this but Everett is actually home to the largest public marina on the West Coast, which is part of the Port of Everett (a commercial port). Next door to the marina is Naval Station Everett, the operations base consisting of Navy carriers. You will find military families and civilian residents living throughout all of the 19 neighborhoods the city has to offer. Most of these neighborhoods are residential, but the current market shows an array of single-family, condos, and newly constructed homes for sale. All of this is conveniently located within commute to the Seattle metro area.

If you’re commuting to Seattle for work, then you should know that Everett is in an extremely good location for quick travel to and from the city. Many of the real estate listings are relatively near major highways, such as Boeing Freeway, making for easy travel by car. Alternatively, there is a public transit system in Everett albeit at a low frequency. Thankfully, residents can ride on the Everett Station, which is a line of about 20 buses. Most homes are also close to these bus stops too.

Another great benefit to living in Everett is the amount of schools, as property owners will tend to find a school near them no matter where their house is located in the area – it’s definitely a great city to raise a family. As for food, Everett has grocery stores everywhere as well as a few available restaurants and cafes. Even though Everett is a large city, most areas are quiet residential neighborhoods; however some parts can be quite loud near the airport or railway lines. Overall, people in Everett say it’s close to the beach and other amenities, and the greenery is lovely.
