The Intercity Neighborhood of Everett WA

Intercity is a mixed-use neighborhood located in South Everett off of Evergreen Way and the Boeing Freeway. It is roughly bounded by Evergreen Way on the east, the Boeing freeway on the north, 100th St., Southwest on the south, and 8th Ave. West as well as Sharon Drive on the west. The neighborhood has some businesses located in the front at the intersection of Casino Road and Evergreen Way. It is a densely populated neighborhood that offers a location with ease of convenience.

Evergreen Way

Evergreen Way is a major road in Everett all along this road are many retail stores, services, and restaurants. At the corner of Evergreen and Casino is the Fred Meyer shopping center within the neighborhood boundaries. Fred Meyer offers a one-stop shopping store and several other smaller retailers. Also along Evergreen Way, you will find more grocery shopping, fast food restaurants, local favorite restaurants like the Totem,  beloved local Memos Mexican Restaurant, and Lanna Thai. 

Shopping on Everett Mall Way

Traveling on Casino Road as you make your way to the west straight across the intersection on Evergreen Way offers a back route into Everett Mall Way. Just as the name implies, Everett Mall is located on this street. The road is also a major hub for many of Everett's larger retail stores and restaurants. You will find Everett's south Trader Joe's location. There is a movie theater at the mall. There is Target, Panera Bread, several fast food locations, and much more. 

Boeing and Paine Feild

There are many different ways to reach Boeing and Paine Field from the Intercity area. One of the easiest is using 100th on the south border. The Boeing Freeway also makes up the northern border. This road will take you straight to the entrance of Paine Field. Paine Field is right next to Boeing and is home to a newer commercial airport, a private airport, and a newer high adventure course as well as the Museum of Flight. Boeing is a major employer in Snohomish County and much of western Washington. Living in Intercity means a commute to work in less than 10 minutes depending upon the traffic at the time of day. 

Quick Access to I-5

Interstate 5 is one of Western Washington's two largest roadways. It is highly utilized to travel north and south throughout Western Washington and down the western seaboard of the United States. Hopping on the Boeing Freeway at the north border of Intercity gets you to the on-ramp in less than 5 minutes. From here you are 15 minutes from Lynwwod and about 30 minutes from Seattle to the south. To the north, you can access Marysville home of Seattle Premium Outlets and further north you will be at the Canadian Border in around 2 hours. 

Public Schools

Though intercity is a South Everett neighborhood within the official Everett city limits the youngest members of the community attend public schools in the Mukilteo School District. Specific schools assigned to the neighborhood include Horizon Elementary School which is located within the neighborhood and within walking distance of many homes, Explorer Middle School, and Mariner High School.

Intercity Real Estate

Properties in intercity offer a large variety. There are many rental properties in the form of apartments in the area and there are condos, townhomes, and a few small single-family neighborhoods located within the area. Home construction began in the 1970s but you can also find homes built as late as the early 2000s in this area. There is a home style and type for every buyer hoping to find a home that is within a walkable distance of modern amenities and also offers an extremely easy commute to the areas or just employers as well as quick and easy access to bus lines.
